As you get older you get farther and away from you’re brothers and sisters. However this does not have to be the case. There are a couple of lucky brothers here at THS who work together and will maybe even start a business together one day.
The Aponte brothers, Giovanni and Allan are learning to be auto technicians together. “I wanted to be an auto technician first and then Allan copied me,” said senior Giovanni. “I don’t copy people! ... I was simply inspired and motivated by my brother’s acts,” replied junior Allan. Most people do work just for the money but not these guys. “I want to be an auto technician because I find it one of my true passions. I live for this,” said Allan. “I want to be an auto technician because I enjoy working with my hands and having to use my brain,” said Giovanni.
These two brothers plan on working together as they pursue their careers in the future. “Most likely we’ll work together, but if not we’ll still help each other out,” said Giovanni. “I concur with my brother. We will most likely work together in the future, but if, we don’t we will always share knowledge with one another,” said Allen.
Working with a family member can be helpful but it can also be some trouble. It’s helpful because they know what one another is or isn’t capable of. It’s also trouble because if the business closes they will probably blame one another witch will lead to family problems.
One way that these two brothers are trying to master the field of auto mechanics is by going to ROP. “I think ROP has enhanced my limits because they’re teaching me skills for my future career. I got an early head start at life,” said Giovanni.
“I think that ROP would be a good opportunity for anyone who would want some knowledge before they get into college,” said Allen.
These two brothers truly have everything planned out for their future, and they will always have each other’s back no matter what.
